Gy14 Cucumber Whole Genome Sequence Data Usage Policy
The Gy14 whole genome sequence deposited here was the result of collaboration between USDA-ARS Vegetable Crops Research Unit – Madison, Roche/454, US Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute (DOE-JGI) and others. The Gy14 genome was sequenced with the 454 Titanium FLX technology with 36x genome coverage. The 203 Mbp assembly is composed of 4,322 scaffolds. As a public service, the assembled Gy14 sequence data are being made available before scientific publication. These pre-publication data are preliminary and may contain errors. By accessing these data, you agree not to publish any articles containing analyses of genes or genomic data on a whole genome or chromosome scale prior to publication by USDA-ARS VCRU and its collaborators of its comprehensive genome analysis. These restrictions will be lifted on the publication of the whole genome description or the expiration of a 12-month period after public release of the data, whichever comes first. During this waiting period, the data will be available for any kind of publication that does not compete directly with planned publications of USDA-ARS-VCRU and collaborators. Scientists are strongly encouraged to contact the principal investigator about their intentions and any potential collaboration.
This website also hosts the assembled genome of cucumber inbred line 9930 (Nat Genetics 2009, Vol 41: 1275-1283). This is for reference only. The official website of the 9930 draft genome is located at http://cucumber.genomics.org.cn/.
